Stripper and Shielding and Tinted Shellac

I'm Re-refinishing a bass that didn't quite get the result I wanted and I have 2 questions.

Preamble: I'm using chemical stripper, StripFast...power stripper by ZinsserI to be exact.
I have limited time in my work space and not nearly enough patience for excessive sanding
I did put down a spit coat of clear shellac on the raw wood before I did anything else.

1. Will the stripper react with the copper shielding tape I put in the pickup and control cavities? The product says it will not corrode metal, but who knows what it will do to the adhesive.

2. Do I need to use extra caution with removing blue tinted shellac that is under some clear shellac and spray lacquer, but over the spit coat?

Thanks so much for your time
Mark
