Its pages 114-115 of Dan Erlewine's-Guitar Player Repair Guide-3rd edition.  It discusses the roller nut and some issues in depth.  It's not in the Second edition though.

Otherwise use the magnifying glass icons at the top left.

I've also had no issues with D'addario strings.  I've only used 9-42, 10-46, and 11-49 though.

but I took a new package of strings, and now my tuning problems are much less!!

Since this is freely available on the internet anyways, here's a little help.  

But seriously, the Third edition has enough goodies to make it worth buying even if you have a previous edition.

Sounds to me like you are getting slippage at the tuner or at the ball end windings. 
I had a dozen sets of Ernie Ball Slinkys that were not wound at the ball end of the high E strings tight enough and the whole lot of them slipped until they came undone. To their credit, Ernie Ball sent replacements and a few extra sets for my troubles.  :icon_smile:
