Strat wiring: problems of a lefty

Why is it impossible to find a correctly-wired left-handed Strat online? By correct, I mean using right-handed pots but still wiring to the correct lugs to have full functionality of the pots. I would probably have to have the five-way switch "upside down" as well for easiest access to the wires, correct? Does the wiring get too messy, or is it doable but very rare?

If you can't tell, this is my first build and the stress is starting to get real.

What I am trying to get across with the wiring is that, if you wired a lefty as a mirror, you would be attaching to lug 3 of the volume pot, and your tone caps would be in the wrong side. Can I just wire to all the “correct” lugs and it’s fine, if a bit messy to have wires going over caps and pots?

You cannot wire a normal pot opposite, that will not work due to how it works internally.

It is possible to buy left-handed pots which have a reverse taper.

I've bought lefty pots, or gotten Fender lefty wiring harnesses on Ebay. Stratosphere has a lot of left-handed parts. Dave Starr will make you any lefty harness you can think of too.
