Got the last coat of lacquer on the headstocks last week and made a move on the Corgan strat today. Here's the headstock with the waterslide logo and polished.
After that, it was time to finish the build. Put on the tuners, mounted the bridge, soldered the output jack and bridge ground, mounted the neck, and drilled the pickguard and output jack. Lookin pretty good to me right now. I'm taking it to the tech on Monday for fret levelling and setup.
Just went a looked at it closely, seems the same as the black stripe in the middle of my other Strat. It's like they say, everything looks bigger in pictures.
I spent the bulk of my career, starting before that company was even incorporated, programming Intel and Motorola silicon according to Borg philosophy and using their tools. Great fun. I'm retired now, and for the last 8 years or so have been doing F/OSS stuff almost exclusively. Too much of a control freak, I guess <grin>
