Strat 2 starting - 50's Strat

Hi all,

Just back from the good people of UPS where I collected a Warmoth neck for my new strat project. I will pair it with the MJT reliced daphne blue strat body.

The neck is vinatge mdern, straight 9,5 radius, SS 6100, white Tusq. I am thinking to put gold anodized pick guard  on the body and vintage Schaller tuners on the neck. Gotoh vintage trem and Fat 50's or CS 54 pups.

you need to paint the neck pocket and add paint nail holes in the body cavities. It is to late for nail shadows but that is ok.
before 1962 Fender did not use paint sticks, instead they put nails in the front, sprayed the front and flipped it and sprayed the back.

The light blue bodies scream for a tortoise or white (mint?) pickguard.

Not white, but a parchment pickguard. That will look more vintage (aged) and less stark than a white one.

I like this one already! Nice color. And I love MJT's work. Been emailing him for a year or so about possibly doing something for me one day. Nice looking guitar!
