Hi guys, does anybody here have experience with stetsbar installation. It looks like pretty easy job except there is necessary to insert wooden shim into neck pocket to change neck angle and that's what I don't want to do. I am afraid it can have bad impact on sound. Is there any solution to customize warmoth body or neck to avoid shimming. Would be fantastic if there is an option to make neck heel a few millimetres taller. I am thinking about Strat or VIP body ...

If you haven't bought the body yet, you can order it with an angled neck pocket to compensate for tall bridges. If you already have the body, your choice is to recut the pocket floor or shim it. There are some nice shims here, or you could use a bit of credit card or something like that.

... thanks man. I will go for that customized pocket ... is there any reason to believe that shim might have negative impact on resonance ...

There are those who can hear anything from any distance at any frequency even in the midst of a pink noise cloud, so I can't say it would have no effect. However, I can't hear one, for whatever that's worth. Theoretically, it should be better than the traditional bits and bobs people will shove in the neck pocket to get some angle on the neck. If nothing else, it's a cleaner installation that looks like you meant to do it, rather than an afterthought to fix some oversight or mismatch.
