Sonic Blue Nitro Tele for nathan

I started work on this nice one-piece body for our forum friend Nathan today.  This is a real nice one-piece swamp ash body that I will be doing in Sonic Blue.  Here it is after paste wood filler, it will be ready for some primer in a couple of days.

Apropos of nothing... :icon_jokercolor: I wonder when the vintage Tele bodies are coming out. The ones with the flat jack area and hump by the cutaway.

You mean like this one, which is not a Warmoth.  Yes I would like to see the router hump, better exterior profile, the correct control cavity shape, counter sunk ferrule holes and the edges more accurate to the vintage Tele's but I still like the quality of Warmoth.

About the vintage Tele design, that you said above, some time ago Mr Eric told us that Warmoth is doing it, because it's often asked by the vintage guys! So, for what I've understood, it is already avaiable!

I'm sorry, but that one piece grain is really too nice to cover up with an opaque finish.....

Normally, there's nothing to write home about when it comes to swamp ash grain/figure, but I'm with you on this one. That's a beautiful piece of wood that ought not be hidden.

I shouldn't say anything, though. I've got a mahogany body that I keep threatening to paint gloss black, install an ebony on ebony neck, and use all black hardware on. But, everybody I tell I'm going to do that looks at me in horror, as if I'd killed a puppy and stained the thing with its blood. Maybe I'll do it anyway, just to piss 'em all off <grin>
