So-Cal Strat Build, Woo Hoo!

Paint has arrived (Fiesta Red from reranch) and some Neck Amber. Hope to have it painted in a few weeks. Can't wait.

Question, wanna try a new combo for pickups. Goto is the JB/Jazz but need some suggestions. Any help?

You should check out what GFS has to offer.  Great stuff for not much dough.  I like the Crunchy Pats myself.

On to paint and the 2 week wait. Then some buffing, distressing, shining, etc. I gave it an undercoat that I'm hoping will give some texture and pattern to the distressing (luxxtone style). Really loving the Fiesta Red, and I'm sure it will get even better as it hardens and ages.

A couple of paint shots below. Now to start sourcing the electronics.

Go, Johnny, go! Go!

Looks like you're headed toward the canonical Red Rock'n'roll Guitar there.

Makin' progress. Painted and distressed, just waiting it out to get good and dry (this is all nitro reranch paint). This weekend will be 3 weeks, so I'll be wet sanding and polishing. There is no clear coat. Pickups are here but awaiting a few parts to really put it all together. Can't wait!

Not sure if there are next steps but liking it so far.
