Shipping Notice!

Still no word on shipping of the custom neck for my current build, but I just got notice that the Ziricote/Maple showcase neck I picked up for my next build is on it's way to daddy!

I've been looking at various body and pickguard combinations to go with it, and I'm pretty sure I'll go with my initial thought: Vintage White with a Tortoise guard. Here's a rough mock-up...

A dark brown tortoise guard brings an interesting pattern down onto the body without subtracting from the fret board grain. Black pups and hardware to blend in.

I don't know about that tortie 'guard. Kinda looks a little busy next to that neck. I think I'd go white on white, w/ the black hardware.

1) Congrats on the shipping notice. I just got mine for a custom neck too. It's a long week waiting for that shipment from Tacoma to get to sunny South Florida.

Ziricote fretboards are so nice looking, it's almost a shame to put frets into them.

I'm not surprised, it is amazing stuff. Yours is the best example of a veneered headstock I've ever seen.
