Setting up your Tremolo or Floyd Rose

A very useful device is available from Red Bishop called an Accu-locator for setting intonation on Floyd Rose style tremolos. There are different types available for Floyd Rose type variants.

After researching a number of these specialized tools ("The Key", etc) I got one of these Red Bishop "intonators" last year, and not only does it work great, it's a high quality piece from Japan. Highly recommended!

Next on my list.
The Key is good for what it was intended for, but this is an improvement upon it.
The Key has a more narrow diameter bolt, and it doesn’t like to be tightened under tension. As such, my method has been to extend the saddle to the longest setting back, then to slowly loosen The Key to allow the saddle to finally rest in its intended intonated position.

The Red Bishop is built far more robust, allows to be adjusted under tension, and allows functionality on multiple systems.
