But, back to more important stuff: is KG gonna have Doug cut him a Vader neck plate for his up-n-coming blacker-than-black Jazzmaster or not?  :laughing7:

I've already had him cut one of my traditional plates for it. Looks like this, but black, of course...

Got most all the hardware the other day, and getting stoked about the build! I've mocked up the body using W's custom builder to visualize it a bit easier. -Thought I'd share it while I'm waiting for the big chunks to ship.

Hoping these will fit the CBS Strat tuner hole-to-hole spacing...

-Anyone had experience with putting these Gotoh Kluson-style Keystone pegs on W's F-style headstocks?

...Saw a build by Ribeye with these on a Strat headstock (-in the Tele builds gallery), so thinking I'll be in good shape there.

Tracking number emailed to me today, so there should be boxes with little turtles on 'em getting dropped off at my doorstep by a brown truck soon.  :cool01:

I think those tuners should fit for the Warmoth CBS. I'm not sure F tuners would though.

If you get a chance could you measure the E to E centre to centre of the Warmoth CBS neck when you get it ?

I'm going to try and collate some measurements of this type of thing.

@stratamania: Sure, I will report out that measurement to ya, no problem. Tracking indicates it should be arriving early next week, so I'll letcha know 'round then.

@rgand: I debated between cream and parchment, -either would look great, but I went with parchment for the esquire 'guard. If and when I ever decide to throw a neck pickup in it, I'll prob'ly order one in cream/black/cream... -Sheesh! It isn't even here yet, and here I am already planning to rip it apart and upgrade stuff before it is even assembled!  :doh:

Speaking of which the dry fitting has shown the non Warmoth neck heel to be slightly bigger than the Warmoth neck pocket so some adjustment will be needed. No idea if that would be the case on all.

@stratamania: Center-to-center from E to E on the W CBS headstock (with 1&5/8" nut width) is ~4&21/32" -or- ~12cm. -Sorry, best I could do with the little scale I have on hand at the moment.

Speaking of which the dry fitting has shown the non Warmoth neck heel to be slightly bigger than the Warmoth neck pocket so some adjustment will be needed. No idea if that would be the case on all.

I had to shave (sandpaper) .020" off both sides of the Squier neck I put on my Tele to fit into the neck pocket. I didn't want to route into the finish on the body.

Sounds like you didn't have all that much to take off. They are all close. Some are just a little less so.

That sounds slightly nerve-wracking! -Glad my W pocket & CBS neck have room to spare for the finish that's starting to go on. Guess I'll scoot over to Work In Progress...
