Schaller tuners with really short pegs

So I ordered a set of Schaller locking tuners and the pegs are really short.  It's like they are all the length of the short tuners from a set of Fender staggered tuners.  On a Strat neck, will they put too much angle over the nut on the wound strings?

They will probably work as you would have no more angle than on a normal tuner where someone has used a lot of wraps. Or rather they will work but whether the angle works for you is more the question.

Or you may be able to exchange them for a staggered set.
