So to recap. One piece solid walnut body, dark rosewood on dark rosewood neck, both from Warmoth. Planet Waves locking tuners, Marvel strap locks, Gotoh double battery box, EMG 85X(bridge) SVX(middle) 58X(neck) SPC and EXG tone controls. Bridge, neckplate, pickup rings, control cover made by the amazing--and apparently well armed--DangerousR6, unplated brass knobs from Guitar Fetish.
These pickups sound great. I think that a lot of people are too quick to dismiss EMG actives because all they ever hear are the 81/85 combo. These X-series really do have a lot of warmth. The 58X sounds like a nice warm PAF.
Anyway, this project took way longer than I had planned but she is finally done.
