Robbie Robertson-style bronzed bodies....would you?

Almost forgot: Overheard somewhere in the midwest of the USA...

"Hey Hunny - we're out of lube!"
"Don't worry - I've got some screw lube on the bench..."
"...WTF??"

When I did the Nigel Strat a few years ago, I did the tone pot only to the bridge SC, that seemed to tame it a bit.

Since I’m an EMG user, I’ve come to agree that the typical HSS config is too juxtaposed and therefore uncomplementary, so I went with the 58/SV/SV which is essentially P90/S/S which I think is far more balance and still services a lot on genre ground.

It's 2lbs over my target weight for guitars these days, but that pickup setup is super cool. You've convinced me to go that way over a H/S/S.

Damn it. Now I *need* another guitar, and my latest order isn't even close to being here yet!

Don't hold my feet to the fire over this, as we're still hammering out details, but the plan right now is to offer a few bronze bodies along with the Migas Touch pickguard assembly. Don't have a price yet, but it will be in the thousands for sure.

I think it looks pretty cool for other people, but it's not for me. Kinda like zebra pants.

I am really amused (intrigued?) by the flipped middle pickup. It's like my dad used to say, "It'll be years before they find a new place to put cheese on a pizza." I feel like this is one of those moments but, in this case, it's pickups and guitars.

It just hit me that I have seen a pickup configuration like this before and it's the Shelton SkyFlite. The only difference being that there's an additional middle pickup. I'm guessing the bronze guitar was the inspiration for it.

Unexpected plot twist!

I legit became converted to this setup over the more common H/S/S config. It works better in every way, IMO.
I’m on the opposite side… there’s something really special about a hot Tele single coil in the bridge and a low output PAF in the neck. I haven’t found any guitars other than Teles that don’t look awkward with the S/H config though…

Only slightly off topic, but I noticed you also had a blonde Dinkycaster build on the bench around the same time you posted a preview of this. Definitely curious about the theme of the video, if you plan on making one. Wondering if it's a showcase of all the brand new options that came out in the last year or so (D neck profile, butterscotch blonde returns, new body shape)?

That is a personal build. And the curse of being the youtube guy is that nothing you do guitar-wise is ever completely personal. LOL. I get called out on the regular for every little mod somebody spots to any guitar they happen to see in the corner of any video.

Keep your eyes on the YouTube channel next week for the build video! SNEAK PEEK: it sounds freaking amazing.

I'd love to have one, probably out of my price range. I'm big fan of Robertson though, and this is aimed at a demographic that might have a little more money than your average guitarist trying to figure out the resale value of the newest guitar pedal. There definitely will be some takers, and as project it's awesome, and will really show skill. I can't imagine how hard it is to do (Though Spud could do it!) It would look so cool on a guitar hanger in the living room; both art and function. pull it down after thanksgiving dinner and crank out I Shall be Released ... someone will be really happy.

FYI, the Seymour Duncan Stag Mag is actually 2 single coil pickups on the same baseplate that will fit where any humbucker will fit. You can wire the coils in series (like a humbucker) or parallel, or select either coil with the right switch.

Do they do by any chance a similar product but with flatter pole pieces?
