replacement body

I went to the local guitar shop in my town today, and they told me that having a neck from another guitar put on a replacement body wouldn't probably work. i was told that the wouldn't fit together....any input on the chances of me being able to put a neck from a mexican strat on a warmoth  soloist body? ???

Good idea, most necks should fit on a warmoth body if you know how to do it right.
