Nickel and copper are used in the process of chroming, and I've found copper is more widely used on cheaper parts and is probably just a few microns thick. So most likely it will come off as well as the chrome....Cagey said:In my searches for methods to remove chrome, I found that many chrome plated parts are nickel plated to start with, so it might just be a matter of removing the chrome and re-polishing what's left.
