I don’t hate the mismatched middle pickup but I think it’s too much white w/ the knobs. Any advice? The cream p-rails are going to stay so need to work around that. Don’t want to do too much gold which is why I went with Strat knobs and also would prefer not to have an “almost but not quite matching” situation with two different cream-colored plastics. Thoughts?

Are you sure the P-rails are cream?

I guess they might be parchment. Either way you can probably find knobs and p/u covers that will be a close match. Fender sells plastic parts in either parchment or aged white, but the first step is to know what colour the P rails are.

A black middle pickup would go fine (zebra style) and then you could use gold knobs or cream knobs.

You won’t likely get perfect matching colors but hey $6000 Les Pauls don’t match either

Simple, just get a replacement pickup cover from Seymour Duncan for the middle pickup to match the P-Rails which also look more parchment than cream in the photo.

Perhaps gold knobs with a black inlay might work for you. Examples linked below.

And then probably a black switch tip may look better.
