Redwood

I'm trying to mimic a redwood with clear gloss for a chambered strat (since they dont offer it), i wanted it to be something like this: http://www.warmoth.com/showcase/sc_guitar_bodies.cfm?type=guitar&start=1&itemNumber=PS3380&menuItem=1&subMenuItem=0&subMenuItem2=0&laminateWood_filter=19
would a transparent brown on quilt maple be close to this or would something else be better?

They offer redwood for strat hollows.  Look in the unique choice laminate tops section.
actually they dont, look in the wood descriptions

Ya, it's there.  http://www.warmoth.com/guitar/bodies/strat.cfm?fuseaction=strat_hollow#select  Its in the far right column.

I looked, its there, but its not offered as a laminite top, it shows a list of available tops and its not there.

We have a nice stash of interesting figured redwood. It is available only as thin bookmatched laminate tops on flat top solid bodies. Oil finishes or a clear gloss really compliment the reddish color and figure! Redwood is not suitable for hollow bodies.

Dude, go to the lamtop strat page and look at the bottom, there are redwood tops available.  This ain't rocket science.

Redwood is way too fragile for the edge of an f-hole on a hollow strat, or to support itself over the cavities in a non-f-hole hollow strat.  When the top is glued on in the vacuum bag and high-pressure tank, tremendous force per square inch is applied to the top.  The figured redwood would not hold up to this stress, website discrepancies aside.

Thank You!

BTW, there's some very nice figured bubinga and jotoba available for hollow lamtops tops that look similar to redwood.

Bubinga:

Disclaimer:  I think LT309 in this section is redwood mislabeled as bubinga.
Jotoba:
