Well, I have finally got this one to a point where I am happy with it.  So it is show time.

Body:
Les Paul shape
Mahogany Body, chambered
Maple top, Dual Lam with "Tubular Quilt," Warmoth's words not mine
Bare Knuckles Nailbomb pickups
Electrosocket jack plate

Neck:
Gibson styled headstock
Wenge with two Purple Heart Laminations in the neck
Standard Thin
25.5"
Planet Wave Tuners
Stainless Steel 6105 Frets
Earvana Shelf Nut

Wired in the normal Modern Les Paul Fashion, it is a dandy.  Now Picts, click on the picture for the three meg plus sized shots.

The Earvana needs to be cleaned up, but that turns out to be rather difficult.  I have been trying with dental picks, and still this is the result.  Play great, so it is not a huge problem.  Very fun thing to play, I have been having a blast.

Another epic LP from Warmoth.  Yay!

BTW, if you get a little set of jeweler's files, they are great for cleaning up nut slots.  I was having a problem where my installed Earvana was pinching the g string and making a sitar sound, but I ran the pointy file through it a couple times and it worked fine after that.

The jewelers files do a great job, it is just the fines that are left behind seem to like to stick a lot.  I was able to get a set of the diamond jewelers files from Amazon, I think Jack posted the link ages ago, and they are very nice.  But those leftovers are like working with nylon, they just don't want to leave.  Anyways, thanks for the comments, currently wandering from computer to rig and back...

Looks amazing! Would look even better with a black headstock, but that's just me.

Agreed, but this was a pseudo impulse buy off of the showcase.  I wanted the parts to finish it with a black headstock, this was wenge and ready to go.  Impulses won that go around.

Haha, I totally understand :laughing7:

I can't believe how light colored that wenge looks in the pictures.  Is it really that light in person?

Very nice build.

I never wanted an LP until I saw some of the ones coming from 'W'.  Next build (once I finish the one I just started), definitely.

The darks are dark, and the lights are light.  In light is seems a lot lighter, but in shadows it seems dark.  Funny stuff.  From a distance, it seems darker though.  I can't say enough about the stuff.  I have tried quite a number of the exotics, and it is my favorite.

Great LP.  I think some bloodwood laminates in the neck would have matched better than the purpleheart, but she's a beauty none the less!

You and i have similar tastes in guitars/hardware Patrick. I was just dropping off an LP to have another Earvana installed and use those tuners on a couple of guitars

Looks great

Thanks everyone for the comments, I must add it sounds quite nice as well.  It is hard for me to think this way, but that is the current number one in the bunch I have built.
