Hmmm, I wonder if it would weigh the tree down much? :icon_scratch: :icon_jokercolor:
@Day-mun: That must have been quite a guitar! FWIW, I did Hot Rails in my first Strat build, as well, hahaha! Now it has some DiMarzios in it.
@DangerousR6: Yeah, I remember you are not a fan of the ebony. All good. Personally, I think the ebony ties the red to the green. But, I'm sorry, I don't get the photo reference.

Reminds me of my first full-out Warmoth Strat build (1998), actually. -Except mine was quilt-top and the 'board was pau ferro. I went with a gold-anodized 'guard and black pickups (all 3 were SD hot-rails! :doh& knobs. -Boy, that combo brings back the (over-the-top) memories! :laughing7:
Day-mun said:@Doc: Yep. Maiden's gear choices pretty much set the standard for instruments that are made for metal, in my opinion; just the right amount of traditional artistry with a touch (-or gob, depending) of after-market mods to soup up the classic design. :laughing7:
Sadly (sort of), I no longer have my first Warmoth build; gave it to a total metal-junkie who worked at my shop as a temp (=no $/no long-term job) for a while. He was just starting with a band, then his gear got stolen... what else could I do? :dontknow:
Day-mun said:Thanks, Doc! Yeah, it wasn't easy handin' that one off, and I lost track of him after his stint at my shop came to an end. (-Hope he's still rockin' that mad-man somewhere!) Oh well, -stuff comes-n-goes, but how people treat each other seems to stick around for a while, so I try to roll with that in mind.
