Raffle Guitar Build

If it must all be from W then I vote TOM. Dogear P90, just because.

Anyhow we could easily do the whole guitar if it's a simple one like that.
Without question the body and neck need to be Warmoth....but I'm also not objecting to having to buy all the parts separately from the body and neck.  I'll of course get the exact make and model called for, but the parts list doesn't need to come out of the raffle budget if you guys need to go over.

ex. If Lollars are called for, Ill have to get em.

EDIT: How about make a Poll on this thread after some suggestions to people choose? You should pick the 5 that you must like blue, perhaps...

Well for a nice finished body we're looking at three to five hundred bucks... and a raw neck is probably gonna be about three hundred.  So there will likely be some budget left over for hardware... but wasn't the raffle supposed to be for a neck and body?  Not a finished product.  BYO pickups :D

It's about understanding... All the money was going to build, if the owner decides to get only a body and buy the other parts with his own money, it's ok... as much as if what he decides take some money left and he gets the parts...

if he can get an entire guitar with the money more power to him I think that would be cool. As long as all the money goes towards the build. And blue I think you were probly the best person to win this raffle as you are letting the board decide pretty muc all of it. Great Job

Thanks, it the least I can do for this raffle you ran.  You rock!

What I had in mind was all the money goes to the body and neck. IF there's money left over it gets spent on parts at W towards the build.  Everything else will be provided by me, decided by you.

Correction, Ken, the best person to win would have been me.  :help:  Even though I didn't enter.

Oh, that soloist option looks cool, now that I finally see it! Beauty parts and great together. I still vote LP jr but that padouk soloist would be a nice choice too.

Padouk neck, anyone?  No finish required.

Or this (too bad it doesn't have MOP or abalone dots):

Congrats on the win.

No one suggested a Jazzmaster/Jaguar ?

Go for P90 soapbars with hardtail bridge and since you won it, relic'ing it won't hurt that much..............totally retro.

Check out this : http://www.fanoguitars.com/altdefactoJM6.html

Even crazier:  Z body, do some nice straight grained dark woods, maybe Indian Rosewood or Walnut with a thick glossy clear finish. Then a Warmoth headstock Pro 24 1/2 scale Wenge neck with a Ipe fingerboard.

Black Floyd, X2N bride and neck set with 1 Vol and 1 Tone ( EMG afterburner as tone for a very awesome and totally unnecessary screaming high boost!) Stainless steel frets (24).

I'm making very happy faces just thinking about it ( Drooling also ). :icon_biggrin:

That soloist with that neck is sweet.    I'm picturing a floyd with a SINGLE p90 in the bridge.  It may not that functional, but damn it'd be cool looking and unique. :-)

I still want this explorer so no one suggest it.  :laughing7:
