I decided to go to my builds notebook to see where my head was at before all this started.  The projects I had started on paper were

Soloist with a Floyd and Dimarzio's
SG or LP with P-90's (Lollar possibly)
VIP, wenge/ebony neck with TX/BBQ HB's
Swapping my canary neck onto a Thinline. (Replacing it with a satin, fatback, qs maple later on)

This is just to give you guys an idea of what my tastes are at the moment.  It's still a board build!

The Lollar P-90's are the finest pickups I have ever heard.  I love mine!  I still say LP-jr-ish, but hey that Soloist Doc linked is a beaut!

OK, I'm back (sheesh you guys move fast). Another vote for Lollar P90. In an LP flattop or L5s, with either a TOM or a bigsby. All-Rosewood or goncalo neck.
We don't have the cash for a painted carved top and an exotic neck, so I guess the VIP or soloist idea is out.

Oh, and based on my last neck and the last couple of builds to show up, Warmoth is building faster these days, so a custom order might be more feasible.

Was that supposed to have p90s? It's a gorgeous body, but I would have put that on a floyd list, since that seems to be what's wanted.

I would totally second that basic idea. Korina maybe for the body? And no Gotoh 510 wraparound. Certainly not on a vintage-looking build. Pigtail or wilkinson both make quality wraparounds for sale at stew mac. If it must all be from W then I vote TOM. Dogear P90, just because.

Anyhow we could easily do the whole guitar if it's a simple one like that.
