Racing Stripe Finish Option

Hello, I am new to Warmoth and have been having fun going through the builder looking for options for my 1st project. I see on the info available under finishes on the body builder, that racing stripes were an option at some point and are currently not available. Does anyone know anything more about this? Has it been unavailable for the last several years and not likely to be available again? Is it something turned on/off every few months? If/When it is available, how customizable in the striping relating to size and color (i.e. metallic or solid colors)?

Racing stripes are sort of a relic from a time when we had a lot more bandwidth in our paint department. These days we just don't have time to do them, and we haven't for years.

In my opinion that paragraph about them should be removed from the site as it just creates confusion and questions about something we no longer do. At some point in the future if/when we are ever able to do them again it could be added back.

Also.....welcome to the forum! You have the best first name ever invented. :)

What's that? 🤨

It's a sort of mottled - or maybe "marbled" is a better word - finish that can achieved by dabbing something on the wet paint.

In the visual that @bagman67 um....paints, it's a....umm....bag.

I went looking for an example and this is the first one I could find:

I wanted to answer just before you edited the post cos, as funny as it may sound, with your explanation and the picture @bagman67 "painted", I knew exactly what it must've looked like! :ROFLMAO:

If you do this with metallic black, then metallic silver and then candy over it, it’s fantastic. Definitely a fun project to try for the DIY painters out there.
