Finally getting around to showing this one off.

Roasted Maple neck (wizard) paddle headstock cut down to a Jackson shape and bound myself, not amazing, but works
Warmoth bound the ebony sharkfin bretboard, 6100 fretwire, Gibson scale conversion with 1 11/16" nut width!

720 Mod roasted alder body, recessed floyd and 7/8 side jack.

Had already cut down the paddle headstock......the top left portion was glued to the bottom/top/right to give me enough wood for the "Jackson" pointy shape.

The glue up at the end of sanding was pretty seamless!

Cut to shape and tested it out. In the end I took out the string tree and filled the holes before paint. This was before binding which was nerve wracking!

I did a sealer coat and then black for the base. I had already messed up the paint at this point and had to strip it down before resealing and painting, what a pain.

Taped off for the distressed jack o lantern look I was going for.

Backside.

Front with masking removed and wet sanded.

Jackobean stain over the top for more distressing. Blotched on and let dry.

Full back side, a dark photo, sorry.

The necessary tools and schaller locking tuners.

Truss rod cover that says "Pumpkin" and then modified vinyl logo that just says "Jack" instead of Jackson". Sorry, the hanger is covering it, lol.

That was fun, and plays great as Warmoth does!!!

It is light weighing in at about 7 or 7.2lbs wich is great for my effed up shoulder from playing for so many years. It is very balanced and sounds great to me. The pickup is a Carvin M22SD. Oh, and an Origial Floyd.
