Oz Noy & Ozone Squeeze transform The Proclaimers' goofy hit, I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), into a heartfelt R&B ballad of longing (plus Noy's signature bent-funk guitar stylings).

RIP  Rest easy Charlie, you brought joy to all.

Eric Johnson's EJ Vol II latest release. I've always focused on just his guitar playing , but over the last two years I've started to focus more on the overall performance, and his voice & compositions on the last 2-3 releases have been ringing in my head along with other greats like Jimmy Herring, Pat Metheny, & Jeff Beck.  It was awesome to finally see him live in St.Charles, Illinois last year.  The guy pulls it off live too without blowing up your hearing - just like Pat Metheny & Jimmy Herring.

Bought the two albums by Frozen Crown.  Italian power metal band.

They caught my attention because of 2nd guitarist Thalia Bellazecca.  Left-handed, Cuban-Italian, and was 16 when she joined the band (she just turned 20 this year).  Difficult to not notice, of course.

Back in Black... back again as the original video I posted had been taken down on YouTube...

Born at the junction of form and function...

RIP Trini Lopez taken by Covid at 83.

Excellent cut, both Trini and a Marty Robbins song...

RIP Trini. He did a better version of this song than marty Robbins did. What range in that voice. Thanks for that link, Phil.

Combining these three versions, then I have to work out solo.  The beach boys solo is boring, and the sax solo is beyond me.  Who knew such a simple song would be so much fun.

Ever seen The Who do it?  Keith Moon sings it!!  There's some raging guitar solos in that version...

The Who have a great version. Kieth moon is awesome.  Next song to learn, either Stay (by the Zodiacs) or Silent Night.  I see they removed the Beach Boys version.  Oh well.  I almost got the solo ... starts with bap bap bap  .... bap bap buh bap etc mostly g notes, playing with the g scale.

There's some PIA moments, but it gives a good opportunity to see and hear some of the great instruments the Museum has...

What I loved was the look on Tyminski's face, and the way Paisley kept looking at Don Rich's guitar like he fell in love and was wondering if there was any way the Opry would sell it to him. :headbang:
