Post what you're listening to!

Geoff Clapp (drums) and Charlie Hunter (guitar-ish) blasting along through a version of Gat Swamba by Garage à Trois (a trio project CH is associated with).

This is very accessible jazz improv at its best - groove for days, tremendous fun.

David Crosby has revisited one of the great successes of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young by covering "Woodstock" with his current band.  It hews more closely to the original melancholy vibe of Joni Mitchell's composition than the CSN&Y treatment.  Crosby is still in good voice, and his accompaniment is topnotch.

so amazing over the top and unapologetic about it.

Holy Crap!!! And, he did it ALL without a Floyd Rose!!! I'm just an old blues guy, but that was rather F'in' spectacular!!

Running into the rules of physics pretty soon there. But, now that they've got the melody down pat, imagine what it'll sound like sped up!  :laughing7:

This is what I'm listening to and playing.  If you haven't checked out Ben Eller's You Tube channel, I highly recommend it.

Damn.  You know how when you run across a cover of a really huge band, you have a hard time because it's so hard to live up to the original, or to give it an original spin that isn't completely out of left field?

This isn't one of those.  The Main Squeeze covering Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar" is sublime.  Come for the excellent, soulful vocals; stay for the face-melting guitar solo.  Great stuff.

Bonus track, covering the Allmans' "Whipping Post":

Just an amazing cover of Have a Cigar there. Made it into a whole new song. That is what you can do with a cover.

I've always gotten a kick out of old classic tunes re-voiced to modern instruments/voice. Big fan of Gary Hoey, for example.

Wayne Krantz, Keith Carlock, Tim Lefevre.  Full show from 2 years ago.
