In consideration...just waiting on the parts to arrive...
This is true sort of, the orig frank had a strat headstock for a short period of time. But it was soon replaced with an esp hockey stick style. Those were the only two head stocks that were on franky.AutoBat said:^^he used plenty of different headstocks before fixing in on the kramer style.

Though Ed is a awesome guitarist, and Fraky is a timeless shred machine...I couldn't care less about VH now, they're pretty much done...I especially don't give 2 shyts about :dontknow: Wolfgang or what he plays...Super Turbo Deluxe Custom said:muttznmongrelz said:There were a lot of diff. versions Ed used...this is just a fun "Tribute", not a "Replica".
No doubt. This is more about the Ed attitude.
BTW, anyone seen Wolfgang's bass? It got the same treatment with a blue and white color scheme (and superfluous Strat top mount jack).
Yip, it had the strat head stock in the early rendition, then switched to the hockey stick(beak)... :icon_biggrin:muttznmongrelz said:I think he had a Kramer Beak Headstock Neck on Frankie for a while too.
You are correct in a way, the white and black one was repainted to black and yellow. Then became red/wht /blk...His rear routed guitars were Kramers, Franky was top route....Alfang said:Both his Frankie and his 5150 rear route had one knob, volume only. I've not seen a pic of the frankie with a kramer hockey stick headstock, and I've done a ton of looking.
I don't think he had that hockey stick headstock till he started with the Kramer Barreta (5150).
If someone can show a pic, I'd be glad to see it. His Frankenstrat is actually the same guitar shown on their first album, white with black stripes, later he removed the thin pinstripes which were actually tape, and then re-taped and sprayed the red over the top, cut up the pick guard, screwed the switch into the center pickup spot, and suposedly the neck pup was non functioning. The bridge pup route was WAY oversized, I suspect to facilitate rapid or easy pickup changes. The latest I have heard was that he wasn't sure how to put it back together after painting it. The rule of thumb, only believe half of what Eddie says, maybe less.
I saw them a couple years ago with David Lee and Wolfgang, think what you want, the kid did very well. and should rightfully be in VanHalen, and I'm a huge Michael Anthony fan too.
Yip, I missed that, it had the Kramer style on it to...muttznmongrelz said:http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=96740
