I’m curious how do we update what we polled?

As far as I know, unless there's an end date for the poll, it updates itself.

They could be, the frame could be easily made, and a single coil mounted in them.... :dontknow:

It depends on how the poll was configured when it was created. The author can allow for changing a vote, or selecting multiple choices, etc., but once it's created it's sorta etched in stone. If an admin goes in and tries to modify it, it resets the poll, throwing away all the previous votes/choices. On a small or young poll, that may not be much of a hardship, but on one as large and old as that one, there'd be a helluva lotta work tossed out.

But would you be willing to match the price in the ad?  :laughing7:

That's an impressive list. Would it be advantageous to put on in there for 'Builder/Owner Made' or something of the sort for those who wind their own pickups?

Good idea. I’ll try to update it again after dinner.  :icon_thumright:

I'd like to add Cavalier Pickups: I recently put their Fat Lion tele bridge pickup in my jazzcaster and boy does it growl but still twangs/spanks!

Cool I like this.

Another brand you can add is Blackfire pickups by Gus G. https://www.blackfirepickups.com/
It's a super new brand but they expect to start shipping within the year from what I know.

Another I thought of just now mk-guitar.com pickups designed by Ingo Raven. They are made by Haeussel for mk-guitar.

So, I am getting closer to pulling the trigger on my first build, a stratocaster style build. I am now working on deciding what pre-loaded pickguard to get. I am looking for something that will prioritize in terms of sound the following: (1) Blues, Americana, Rock; not interested in grunge or metal at all. As to brands I am looking at the following: Lace, Dimarzio, Fralin, Mojotone, or Seymour Duncan. I have narrowed it down to those as they are the ones I am most familiar with through my research. For this first time through I am looking for minimal soldering.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what brand/item would work best for my desired sound? Thanks!

Are you going to use the regular strat S-S-S setup? Just based on your listed genres there's TONS of pickups that could fit the bill... Pretty much anything in the low to mid output category. Is there any particular guitarist/song you like the tone of? Any particular strat that you've played that you like the tone of? What guitars do you have now and do you want similar or different?

(1) Regular S-S-S
(2) Tab Benoit, Robin Trower, Mick Ralphs. Not sure about songs, I have really varied listening tastes. I like Daydream by Robin Trower, Nice and Warm by Tab Benoit, Born under a Bad Sign by Mick Ralphs. Not sure if that helps.
(3)Not really, no strat preference yet
(4) I actually used to play electric guitar, more American oriented at the time. Sadly I sold my 2, now vintage guitars. I had a late 1960's gold top Les Paul, and a late 50's Telecaster, and a Twin Reverb amp.
If I had the funds I would look at a Fender Custom shop Robin Trower model, but sadly it is out of my budget.
Thanks for your reponse, I hope mine helps.
