Okay.. So Maybe I'm just crazy But I would like to perhaps in the future see the option of eyelets to attach the neck to the body instead of the traditional neck plate.
They definitly offer more access than the neck plate/block of wood it's attached to.
Any thoughts?

I like that idea. But in the meantime I'm sticking with 'Dangerous' Plates......

They are too Kool for Skool.

do you mean like these things:

this guys used them on his gold top: http://russosmusic.20m.com/warmothpics.jpg

Those are pretty cool.  I hadn't noticed them before.  I've got a few "dangerous" plates on order, so I'll go with them for now.

Here's a question about those neck washers, though.  Do you have to shorten the neck screws a bit since those washers appear to be countersunk into the body?

That's where the strap button should be on every Gibson ever made. 99% less broken headstocks.

I prefer the neck washers over any plate in any guitar. It would be cool to be a standard option.

at the e-store they say they don't recommend using them on the four screw strat type guitars - like on that LP. I guess because it's so close to the edge on two of them.

I dont see how a different strapbuttonposition can save headstocks. When it falls, it will just fall and break off. I dont like that position, since it will unbalance my guitar. oh well, no, it will give me another ballance, and a balance I dont like since I'm used to a different weight distribution.

Hahaha...thanks Jimbo.......I don't see that the plates are that much of an issue. Ya the ferrels look kewl, but most of my guitars are bolt-ons and I don't have any issues with the plates. My Jacksons have plates on them that are twice the thickness of standard plate, and I have no problem with them either...

So JamesL, maybe you should get a mini guitar if a standard size neck joint is too much for you to handle..... :dontknow:

This came up a while back and apparently the standard screw hole locations are too close to the edge for comfort. Basically you can buy a neck and body with no holes (that's an option) and get these drilled yourself. Like most Warmoth stuff, if you really want it and can come up with the bucks, you can usually get it somehow.
