I like the sound at my church, but I wish I could play a pointy seven stringer with heavy distortion for worship every once in a while...

Ha, yeah that'd be fun.

I can just see my worship leaders face if I walked in with a pointy rock machine. LOL  :laughing3:

My church worship team ain't stingy. We've got blues/rock sound most of the time, with lots o oldskool lectric geetar grit. Maybe in ten years I can introduce some heavier tones!
