Well, I just finished it up, and as luck would have it, everything seems to work on the first try.  I'm very very happy with the way it came out.  The p90s sound great!

mmmmm double-cut Les Paulity goodness.

you ok with the placement of the strap button on the upper horn?

Brian

I'm becoming more of a fan of the natural mask binding every time I see it.  Love the LP, and the shot with your kid peeping in is great!

Thanks all.  I have always been a big fan of the LP double cut.  I really like simetrical looking guitars, and these have always struck me as being about as close as you can get.

As far as the strap button on the horn, I guess it kinda sticks out there, but it doesn't bother me.

Love it.. great looking machine, bet it honks!  :icon_thumright:

Nice pics too, I like the Daddario rainbow in the bridge.. :kewlpics:

A lot of guitars on here look nice - and yours does as well. But I can see, looking at yours, that yours SOUNDS killer too (at least to my ears). Throw a tobacco burst on there instead, and I'd build that.

nathan a, thanks.

I think the P90s maybe be my new favorite pickup.  This is my first guitar with them in it, and they are fantastic.  The tone from the things is fat and clear, and all sorts of other random positive descriptive words.  This is also my first guitar with a chambered body, so that may have some impact on the tone as well, but I don't know how much.  I can defiantly say that I am incredibly pleased with the way things have come out.

I'm imagining the sound and getting excited. I love p90s, they're such a great middle-ground between hums and singles. And especially on a hollowed body. Whats the mini-switch do?

+1 on everything! I can only imagine it looking better with black P-90's, even then I'm not so sure...Sick build, dude!

The mini switch is for series split parallel on the stack pickup in the bridge.

How about P90 Stack?

I'm really liking the stack, but I am defiantly glad that I did the min toggle on it.  Its series and parallel modes are considerable less output than the split mode.  Even then, the pickup is still just a touch less output than the vintage P90 in the neck.  I think I could correct this to some degree by shimming the pickup a little closer to the strings, but I'm good with it for now.

SO killer.  Seriously, that thing looks great and must sound amazing.

I know you were wavering on it but DEFINITELY finish the head of that padouk neck!  You want it to match the body forever.

you still have room in their for a phase switch for power boost on the stack.
