New Glock Day  :eek:ccasion14:

Picked up this sweet Gen4 G21 [.45 ACP].  Any other shooters out there?

I've been eyeing that as well as the Taurus Millenium PT111 G2 & a couple of other newer smaller designs to supplement my Taurus PT100 .40 S&W.
Different guns for different concealment applications.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Taurus.

Yeah, this G21 is a brick.  There are better options for CCW.

I've had my PT100 for 20 years, been very reliable.

Looking at a Ruger LCR for my wifey.  Simple hammerless DAO for concealment.  Nothing to snag on.

I was dead set against polymers for years, then a few years ago, I went to an indoor range in Tacoma, rented nearly a dozen different guns and spent the day burning powder & dropping brass.  Thouht I'd love the Sigs, ended up hating their feel.  Thought I'd hate the Glocks, ended up loving them.  Liked the Ruger's but they just didn't shuck my corn.  Loved the S&W's & Springfieds, never handled a bad auto from either of them.

I'm a die hard auto guy when it comes to concealed carry, and would prefer to only use a revolver in the house or a large one for hunting, like the Taurus Judge  or Raging series.

Nice weapon! I've thought about trying a Glock, just never got around to it. I've been carrying my PPK/s for the last 20 years. It's like an old friend, keeps me company where ever I go.

Nice shooter, never been a Glock person myself but they are good reliable pistols. I carry a Kahr PM45

^Preach it!

You might be surprised by how awesome some of the new CZs are.
If you like the CZ's the Baby eagles awesome. I've got two of them a steel frame and a poly frame. Both were designed from the CZ 75.

For years they were branded from magnum Research as the Baby Eagle, now IWI has re-branded them as the Jerico, which is what they originally were from the start.

A few of my favorite things.

Taurus PT 100 .40S&W

Remington Model 700 in 30.06 with Redfield 3x9 scope, helps to put the venison on the table.  The last 3 packages of venison that I acquired in its original packaging is from this gun, and 2 of those were single shot kills while the entree was running.

But so does the '98 Mauser Sporter Converted with a 5A Birdseye Maple Monte Carlo Rollover stock, in 8mm Mauser.  She has a Williams rear site to replace the military site, and the bolt has been forged to accept a scope, even though in 27 years, I've never felt the need for one.  Finished in TruOil and what you see is the original finish that has never been touched up after 27 years.  This is pretty much my "brush" rifle, that I'll carry in the bush when I'm not sitting on a perch.  It's a tack hammer, knocking the silhouettes down all day long at 200 years open sighted.

I had a Desert Eagle chambered in .357 Mag up until about 20 years ago.  Was heavy as hell, even empty, but was a fun gun to shoot.

Ya, the Desert's are quite unwieldy, but if you need a hand cannon it does the trick. The Baby's are much more user friendly, and really fun to shoot as well...

Tony, Tony, Tony! Dude, you need to rout for a PUP and put a stoptail on that Mauser Sporter! It's such an absolutely gorgeous piece of furniture and I'm sure you could get a set of strings to absolutely sing on her!

Have a blank that I've been hanging on to for 20 years, my gunsmith uncle who built the Mauser used to build the stocks for the NRA Raffle Rifle every year, and I got the blank from him.  He had it for close to 25 years before I snagged it from him.

I haven't decided to sell it or build a couple of necks out of it, or several fingerboards.

I have a full-size M&P and a Shield both in 9mm. I recently bought an M&P .22 compact. It's pretty fun. I really want an AR. How important is a forward assist on a plinking rifle?

The best carry weapon...is the one you'll actually carry. I'm partial to Glock in 9mm.

-Had a G19 gen4, but my son ended up with it for his 21st b-day. Recently started thinking of replacing it with one of those relatively new G43's; a 9mm with six-round single-stack mags.

(G43 is the skinny-minnie on the bottom)

I really don't like the limited capacity of the single stack. I only carry that when it's absolutely necessary.
