As most of us know, Warmoth got forced by the big G to stop making Les Pauls, and even though they're 'just a bolt on' guitar, I feel these guitars are better than most Gibsons, if not all Gibsons. (as a point of fact, I tried all Gibsons at NAMM '13, and I really was saddened by the quality of the fretwork, paint, pickups, etc etc, where as these 2 are lovely in all those aspects). As their Swan Song, I had them make me 2 of the best, greatest, lovliest guitars I could conjure. I just wanna show off, sorry ;)

That purple (blue?) one is pretty friggin' sexy, I must say.  The other is nice, but looks more like a fancy piece of furniture to me.

Either way, those are two pretty scores you got there.  :icon_thumright:

purple :) I have to thank Eric Wylie and everybody at Warmoth for proving my point: these guys know their shit. The finish is IMPECCABLE! The fretwork needed a bit of work, but HA HA HA much less than a gibson customsh!t would need. just a rag, oil, fretboard cleaner, tape and polishing compound and 15 minutes of my time was enough to polish these frets to a superslick gloss. Not sure if that's due to the major traveling the parts did or the supercrummy strings I used (those neon coated strings: big mistake!) but still: these parts are superb. Thanks guys :) hope your new singlecut design will look lovely and amazing ;)

Never been into Gibsons myself but these 2 Lester types are absolutely stunning!  :headbang: Any pics of the headstocks?

And for my money, the koa-topped axe is by far the sexier one.  More unique, less "just another spectactularly figured piece of flame maple," if that makes sense.

But both are amazing.

Nice  :headbang: .... both are.
(Bit shy with the photo's aren't ya)

Now you can make a Tele or something else besides a bloody LP  :laughing7:

Whats with the hole on top of one of the control knobs, on both guitars ?  :icon_scratch:

No I have enough teles...

That hole was an experiment for an s1 switch, and now I will plug it with a bit of contrasting wood, to difference the looks of the vs volume pot.

Wow, I was interested in those pickups for a minute or two but then I saw the price.  I think I have a nosebleed.

Guitars look fabulous as always though those 2 may well be the best of the collection!

I got them for free :) (the pickups, that is).

And... yeah, these pickups are EPIC! these guitars are AMAZING. and they are some of the finer pieces in my 40 guitar collection

Yeah those things are nuts...last I checked they were like 1500 dollars a set or something...

But as always Orpheo, you have some beautiful guitars. I am really fighting the urge to go get a LP while they are still there.

Yep, $1000 bucks a set.  Glad to hear SD hooked you up with some freebies.  They must be worth a listen at that price!
