Just pick this up off e-bay...$120...with hardshell case.  Still has the Pickup covers and stickers in place!

It is an AXL Badwater.  It is their "worn in" series.
EMG designed Alinco PUs, Maple body, rosewood fingerboard.  I am loving the bronze/copper tone hardware.  Has an awesome shaped next kind of a cross between a standard thin and a V shape.

Set up is decent...

Neddless to say I am happy...they go for about $350 retail.

Is the body clearcoated?

I say figure out what's on there (nitro/poly/ ? ), and shoot her with some trans red.
Take off the pickguard, alright!
Maybe find some cream puppy rings?
Oh, and one of those "Rhythm, Treble" rings for the switch!

BTW, great grab! I would love a semi like that!

there is a poly finish.  Looks like the factory painted it white and used some stain to "antique" it.  It actually feels nice.

Whoa! I figured that was some sort of natural finish. Is that really white under that? damn!

Hows she scream?

Thats what I thought too by the photos.  It plays real nice.  I am very happy with the PUs.  It sound similar for a Epi DOT with a little more output.
