Crate V50, 50 watts all tube, plus built in FX. You don't see that on tube amps very often... :headbang1:

I was just looking at the Crate site at that amp, Nice amp 2 12xs and 2 6L6, that thing should boom and have plenty of tonal control

It's got a set of groove tube EL 34's in it....

But I got a set of Euro Tube E34L's to put in it.... :headbang1:

El34s with distort so much sweeter than 6L6s, make sure you get it biased as soon as you change those tubes,

I like EL34s,  I saw the manual said 6l6s someone must have swapped them for  you already

I just paid the final instalment for my amp today and it may be built in time for a Christmas delivery, but more likely the New Year...

It's the same ones that Billy Gibbons uses, I'm sure his a specially made. But it's the same ones he promotes... :dontknow:

I am still trying to find a few different ones to play to see how I like them, I want a 20 to 30 watt tube amp to replace the Bass amp I use, it is getting way old and I can get a good amp and use the bass amp at home for Bass, imagine that.
So far I have played the AC15 and AC30, way nice but expensive
the Egnator 30 watt combo, I was disappointed in it
A Orange amp which I thought was way overpriced for what it offered
Some boring Fenders
The Bulgera was just flat, and it died on me during demoing it
I want to play that Jet City 20 amp single channel, the Allen Amp but where do you demo those? And I want to check out the Kustom tube amps but have not found a dealer.
My little Epiphone Bass amp is about to give up the ghost so finding amp I can carry around to gigs that is powerful enough to mic, light enough not to be a pain, and dependable enough not to worry about needing a backup is high on my list. But I do not think I will find it by Xmas.

It comes in several sizes, from 5 watt to 100 watt....There's also the Palimino version which is part of the V series...
