The hardware will be mostly gold.

Gold Gotoh 510 Bridge
Gold Rio Grande TX/BBQ 4 conductor pups and creme pickup rings
Push/Push pots - ordered both amber and gold knobs as I was not sure which would look best
Gold LP 3-way switch with creme knob
Gold Switchcraft flushmount output jack
Gold schaller strap locks and buttons
Gold Grover roto-grip locking tuners
Gold Neck plate and screws

I think that is everything.  I also ended up ordering a G&G case for my new addition to the family.

Hopefully this thread will help me get thru the next 5 days!!!

Yes, that should be a real looker  :glasses9:  Nice case as well!
What are ya doing to the body?
Let's be sure to post more pics....
:rock-on:

The body is finished in a washed blue dye, with natural binding (no lip over), and a clear back.  I've always dug the look of the Modern Eagle II from PRS, and wanted much the same vibe on this build.  Here is a photo of the washed blue finish from the warmoth site

That guitar is going to be REE-DONKULUS!

Can't wait to see it, bro!

Nice...
Like an old pair of comfy blue jeans  :headbang1:

Exactly!!  I like the way the dye takes differently depending on the grain.  Not your typical uniform finish

i'm excited to see how this turns out! i'm a HUGE fan of the Modern Eagle II. i purchased a warmoth VIP in the Washed Blue Dye a while back. unfortunately i lost my job and had to cancel my order. BUT here's the picture of how mine turned out. i absolutely love the color it turned out as. just not as close to PRS' "Blue Jeans" finish as i would have liked it to be. some extremely lucky person got it during the sale! wish they were a board member, i would have loved to have seen what it turned into.

I saw that body on the showcase.  I think it was listed as Washed blue with a Blue Burst Over?  Is that right?  Sorry to hear you had to cancel the order  =(

yep! i believe thats what it was. i had a nice warmoth purpleheart with ebony fretboard neck ready for it, but unfortunately it never came together. the one thing i was pretty disappointed with was i was sure i had ordered it with a clear back (to get as close to the MEII as i could) but in the showcase i saw it have a blue dyed back. but i think that might have been because the blue dye back was easier and i had to cancel while it was in the middle of being painted. so they decided to get it finished as quickly as possible.

again, seriously excited to see this VIP you've got come together! i love the idea of a MEII with an f-hole.

It is going to be a long weekend of waiting for the UPS guy to come on tuesday to see how it turned out!  The original plan had been to go with Modern Eagle II pups too...as I really like the brushed nickel with gold screws look.  But I could not find them in stock for a reasonable price, so I went with the Rio Grande TX/BBQ set.  I know they sound sweet, as I am running them in my hotrodded JD signature tele.  Maybe some day I will change them out for the MEII pups....would give me an excuse to build another guitar!!

oh yeah!  Was going to just get the 2 conductor pups and wire them on a straight 3-way, but Warmoth had a set of the gold 4 conductor in stock, so I decided what the heck.  I wired my JD with a 5 way super switch to allow coil splitting, will probably wire this similar.  Otherwise, if anyone has some interesting wiring suggestions running 1 Volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way, let me know.  I ordered 2 500K push-push pots, and one regular 500K CTS pot to experiment with

All the ingredients of a good guitar in looks and tone are there.  Just assemble it and I am sure you will be on top of the world.  Post pics when done.

If it turns out even half as nice as that carved tele...that thing is insane

The G&G case I ordered arrived this morning.  The tuners should be here this afternoon.  Guitar arrives tommorow!!  Not sure about all the other parts I ordered from Warmoth though.  Have yet to receive a shipping notification on those, and I ordered them last monday.  Hopefully they just show up!  This case is amazing.  The tooled leather rocks!  I'll get some pics once the body and neck arrive
