My rosewood neck is warping....

my guitars were fine in my own country, but SoCal was so dry, the guitar shrunk considerably (noticed it with the fret ends and the bolt on neck pocket) in Los Angeles. I keep underestimating humidity.

Are you in Australia? Where?
I had to have a neck reset on an acoustic guitar due to humidity last year, and since then I've been monitoring humidity in my home & the levels are frightening!
I have bought a de-humidifier to attend to the excessive levels & thankfully it keeps the acoustic neck in top shape.
But when I took it to Melbourne for repairs in 2013, the change in humidity was dramatic (I live just north of Sydney in NSW) & the neck was nearly normal again. The change in the neck's posture made me look a goose to the repairer, but luckily he understood that in other regions, the humidity is much higher.
Seems Melbourne is dry but Sydney & Brisbane humid. Adelaide & Perth - BONE DRY! And I guess you wouldn't even consider owning an expensive acoustic in tropical areas like Townsville & Darwin.  :dontknow:

I forgot to add, that my 3 Warmoth solid bodies, other solid bodiy guitars & even an Epiphone Casino (Korean made) are in good shape.  :icon_thumright:

Hey Pete, I moved from Kiama to Melbourne just over a year ago. To be honest haven't noticed a huge change in the guitars' setups, esp the wenge boat neck: solid as a rock.

I only really noticed this rosewood neck twisting after we had a spate of heat waves, so maybe that affected it

Yes. I remember the press about the extremely hot days in Melbourne & Adelaide. That sort of weather could do anything to organic materials, it was freaking frightening watching the temperatures on daily news reports!
