My Nashville Build

Attached the neck.  Note the pad under the neck plate.  Also, you can see the felt under the jack plate.  Also, the little bit of wax on the screws.  Hey ... I didn't notice my toe, oh well.

Sanded the pickguard to accomodate the DiMarzio mini-humbucker.  The Gibson width was fine, but the length was off.  Used 220 grit.

Note my homemade wire puller tool made out of  zip tie and dental floss.  I took a needle, heated it up, and put a hole in the end.  Works Great!

That's really going to look good when it's finished.

Cool wire puller. I've been using .020 SS safety wire. Yours is much cheaper to use and certainly effective.

I tried wire, and it was OK, but the zip tie has the rigidity (with flexibility) and never gets stuck.

Installed Bridge.  Used bridge to line up pickguard (get strings over pole pieces for my OCD). Installed the control harness.  Looks lined-up.  Bringing it to luthier for soldering and set-up.  (If I did it myself it would take to long)

Damn, that looks good. Love that body.

You ever considered turning the control plate around so the switch is at the heel end? I did that with my Tele and it feels more 'right' than the normal way. Forgive the poor focus on the photo.

I know I like 'em better installed that way. I need easy access to the volume control a lot more than the pickup switch.

Dropped it off at the the luthier.  Should get it back before December 28.  So it will all be done within 2018.  I started planning the project last March, 2018 ... let' see that's about 9 months.

It looks real nice in person, the korina is more orangy, the goncalo alves is more red and streaky and the rosewood is more purply than the pictures show.  When I get it back from the wizard I'll take some beauty shots for the other section.

As to reversing it, that's a good idea, but the wiring harness won't let it happen ... the wire would be too short.  Still, it'll work.  I really to foward to exploring the 15 switch settings and the 9 different
sound options!

I already started planning my next build ... crap this is addicting and the next one I'll make even prettier ...

Your Luthier could switch it for you.

So true.  :laughing11: :laughing7:

Strange thing it's been about nine months, I might change things later but right now ... I just want to give birth to this baby! :bananaguitar:

I think we all know that one.  :icon_thumright:

The guitar and I are getting acquainted ...
Preliminarily, the wolfgang neck is the best profile I've every used!  It combines the meatiness in the right place of the 59, with the thin-ness of the regular profile.  Extremely comfortable.  More reports and pics later as we get to know each other.

The tuning buttons are so beautiful, but just a tad more difficult to turn than a standard broad button.  However, this being a locking tuner, their isn't much turning.

Here are the last pics for this thread.  I'm warming to it nicely, but I'm finding that having 15 ways to get 9 different sounds is confusing.

I'm still bonding with it, but when I'm done I'll post beauty shots and full review in the tele section.  I have to say, the wood sure looks nice.  Thank you Warmoth.
