I've got a classical with a shellac finish. I've played the hell out of it for 9 years. The finish could use some repairs, but it has never felt gummy or gross. It fits just fine in "my realm of playability."
And confederatewk: Pro internet tip: This isn't hotornot.com. When people post pics of their guitars, it's not an invitation for the rest of us to talk smack about them. The guitar is built and making music to the satisfaction of the builder. Your criticisms are too late, are not constructive and strike me as perversely self-serving.
