Must have come from the Showcase

It is likely that that neck was ordered before the restrictions for Strat Headstocks on the 24x24.75 necks were active.
Who know's what the body is unless you see the Turtle stamp in the pocket.  It may not be a Warmoth at all.

just wait until i get my last strat project on ebay... started out as a nice mahogany strat, but it looked much better after i "contoured" the top and hot glued the q-tips and tooth picks to it.

I was guessing it was just a Warmoth that someone hand carved, but then I realized it said "1970s." Warmoth did not exist in the 1970s.

Boogie Bodies before Warmoth?

Or... Warmoth has built a time machine. That would explain a lot of things.

The story behind this one is Warmoth was like totally making top end custom complete guitars. And then they wrote a fake date in the neck pocket and then this was set up but never played! :icon_jokercolor: :binkybaby:

I bought it several years ago for my son, who unfortunatley does not have the love of guitars as I do.
Yeah, can you imagine the scene?  "Happy birthday son!  Open your present!"

"Cool! Thanks dad!"  *opens present* "Um .... wow ... that's ... something."

My wife hates snakes and since I have been thinning my collection, she would like this one to go.

I'll bet she wants it to go!

I think it's pretty cool - perfect for your next country gig or wedding band!  :headbang1: The black Klusons kind of date that part of it at least to being fairly recent... but a birdseye AND flame neck is pretty cool, ebony and 24 frets too.
