That came out nice. Headstock seems a little bare, though. Lotta real estate there with nothing going on.

Yeah you're right, I'm going to order custom decals someday and insert them on to the headstock.

Doesn't need much, I think just a bit of accent would probably do it. Maybe your name in script or something. I did this on one of my Warheads...

... which is probably only 2/3 the size headstock you've got there.

Veery nice.  I think poplar gets a bad rap.  there are plenty of good examples (like yours) that look great with transparent finishes.

It's nice wood that finishes easily no matter what you put on it. Buddy of mine made a cutting tool storage cabinet out of it years ago to hold his extensive collection of router/shaper/drill bits/etc. When he said he was going to make it out of poplar, I couldn't see it. But, the wood he got had a decided greenish cast to it, which he made the cabinet proper and the bit holders internally out of. That was all clear coated, then the door he cut a big window in and painted the frame a forest green. The windowed green door matched up to the poplar cabinet beautifully while still having a lotta natural finish. Pretty as furniture, but in a workshop.

The finished instrument is a total success. I like... all of it. I do agree with Kevin that a decal would help the headstock a bit. Very nice work.

Looks good. I should order my neck already so I can be second moon strato guy :) Mine will have SD rails which I've already wired up in another guitar.

Looks awesome! I agree though, it needs a sweet custom decal :icon_biggrin: .
