MOJITO STRAT...or...?

Probably a good idea. I presume that neck is already finished, and even if not you'll have a much easier time getting the match if you do the both at the same time.

Hey I'm just starting to make my way around the forum and I agree with the ebony choice. Very cool stuff you are up to Great Ape, the February winner guitar you built is absolutely amazing and blurs the line between art and craft. Kudos...

Thank you...thank you very much...

Yes, the neck is already finished, and yes, indeed, the body & neck have got to be dyed at the same time. Thanks for a very cool idea, and a reason to plan another project...(Like I need any encouragement in that dept.).

One quick view of the completed piece...more pics will be comin'; the flame on the neck needs to be seen, etc. Thanks for all your input--it's been fun, as usual!

Nice. I knew the Ebony was the way to go.
+1  :blob7:

With the little parts of black on the body, that neck is perfect !!
Another great job Greg  :headbang:

Have you happened to have any inquires from anyone to do one for them ?
(if thats to rude to ask .... please ignore)

I had an idea for, just some wood burning done on a wooden pickguard.
But then again, I have a thousand ideas

Well the reference was "ants marching". But seeing that ebony is from africa and so is Dave..

He has some good tunes, his band is tight and plus the drummer is a Rangers fan. Plus Da e has some fancy footwork, makes me laugh... :rock-on:

New York Rangers or Texas Rangers?

Late to the party, but +1 on the Ebony! That really is a great guitar Greg!  :occasion14:

+1 on Updown's pickguard idea too! You do beautiful work!  :guitarplayer2:

You have a real knack for announcing "I'm going to do some guitar that sounds absolutely horrid when described to swarfrat" that ends up being a stellar knockout. Nice work.
