I agree. So do the Hot Moms that front my band, they sported the style too.
Here's another, despite some of the most unfortunate sound problems I've ever experienced. My guitar sounds like its clipping in the PA quite a bit. And I was playing a frickin Line 6 Spider 30 watt 1x12 thing, just to keep things simple. Not turned up very loud, either.

Jeez, running sound isnt rocket science. Here's the last song from our actual set, I can't hear bass, the backing vocals aren't very even, and the keyboards creep up and up and up.. On another song, as soon as I break into the solo, he slowly pulled my guitar down until you couldn't hear it and boosted the keys way up. I'm beginning to wonder if someone behind the mixing board had a beef with us.

We had a gig later that day at a charitable fund raiser disguised as a pool party. We run everything except the drums through the PA that I own and put together myself based upon our needs. My drinking buddy, a failed (
honest) politician, runs sound as well as provide groupie and child care services for our keyboardist/vocalist
(yes, its her husband). He ran sound for four years while a student at Rice University in Texas, everything from rock bands to jazz, Chinese Opera, Musicals, Plays, Acoustic Acts, etc... and he has a degree in Physics. He's a little overqualified for the job, but he apparently enjoys it, its a hobby he can take part in with his wife. Our mix at the pool party, thanks to our soundman, was far superior at the pool party, with a much more humble rig than we had earlier that day.
From the Pool Pary/Fund Raiser, and with added effect of our new lighting rig that we finally got to turn on once the sun went down.

And a very tame Time Warp, slower than usual, our last song from a very very long sweaty day. Slower thanks to the fact that a very tired guitarist (Me) started the song. In fact, I was so out-of-it that the riff I started was actually for another song, once I started singing I had make an adjustment to the rhythm and meter. But it was too late to do anything about the tempo. Oh well.

I guess it also helps to have a soundman that knows what your needs are, and knows what they're doing. A good soundman is a valuable asset to a band. I see why Phish and Phish fans love Paul Languedoc so much.
