I was relatively new (still am) and posted some things for sale. I did ask some advice first. I have to admit I was a little puzzled at the process though. How would it work? would a buyer just deposit money into my paypal account and then I ship the item out? Does the buyer have any protection from paypal? It seemed rather odd. I don't know how comfortable I would be purchasing items from a stranger. Greed can really consume somebody and even a poster of thousands of messages could rip someone off. Probably just as easy as a noob. BTW I haven't had any hits on my stuff either. I did offer my ebay id, it's broncopablo77. You could check my feedback and ratings and what not. I feel if you don't want to read noobie gear for sale threads theres nothing forcing you to open the thread. That's my 2 cents anyway.

yep, paypal should cover all parties. thats the only way i'll sell anything. i've sold 2 things on this site so far (bridge and p-rails pickup) and had good experiences so far. the only thing i've bought would be a neckplate from doug. he's pretty legit :icon_biggrin: but i'll ONLY deal in paypal. i don't want to screw anybody and i don't want to be screwed. as far as i know it's the best way to deal on the internet. now i'm trying to sell a neck, which is a bit more of a big deal. i almost wish that this site had a way to give certain people positive feedback. i'd have 2 by now, and then people would see "jay hasn't screwed anybody so far, maybe the neck i want isn't a risk." i think talkbass does that... anyway, i'm not for a minimum posting, but i probably wouldn't buy from somebody with 1 or 2 posts and a ton of stuff for sale. i guess it's buyer beware.

I got a great birds eye maple jackson neck from a first time poster for a great price... Turned out to be a stand up guy...
