anybody tried this?

and any views of using it with something else (another lil/jr or a hb) to achieve humbucker/strat tone in a single guitar?

and how about the combo of the lil 59 with the jb jr in the "everything axe" set from seymour duncan.

anybody tried this?

appreciate the feedback.

Yeah, it's okay, you can rock out with it. Sounds like a humbucker but not like a classic paf. I can't believe they call it a '59. Handles high gain well but the clean sound, meh.

That in combination with a jb jr will probably get you a tele that sounds nothing whatsoever like a real tele or a real strat.

If you want strat and tele sounds.  Then just build two guitars, a tele and a strat.  Its not rocket science.

I would agree, but if you want to have a compromise, I'd go for a Tele with Strat neck and middle pickups, Tele bridge pickup.

If you're looking to get a real humbucker tone, you're going to need a full-size humbucker. Not that the single-coil sized ones aren't usable, but I've just never heard one that sounded like a real humbucker.
