Well I'm starting to put together a little cheap project, kinda like a double cut melody maker, except with a Bigsby. SO- I'm going to leave this up to the board- Normal Bigsby or Black Bigsby, with matching bridge.

or (Can't for the life of me find a pic of a guitar with a black one installed)

depends on the guitar somewhat, but overall, I think black give of an epically simple, subtle custom look that is hard to beat.  :icon_thumright: Pair that with black otherstuffs (knobs, tuners, nut, etc), and I think it will look great!

Just the fact that I couldn't find any pics of a guitar with the lack one makes me lean towards it.

I like the black bigsby. I have never seen one before, not even for sale. I think with all black hardware, this could look awesome.

That's not far off what I've thought! Mine is red though, and has black tuners, and two chrome dome knobs and metal covered pickups.

Hey Nex am I imagining things or are you Australian?

Yep, about as aussie as they get mate. Think we may have had this conversation before. I am in Melbourne, if my memory servers me well, you are living in NSW.

The forum is having trouble getting past the fact that your guitar got caught in some kind of diabolical animal trap. You should gnaw the lower bout away to free it of that contraption.

A classic piece of hardware like the Bigsby seems to only keep it's aesthetic value when it's normal looking (not black). It would be like looking at a vintage 6-hole trem. So yeah I'd go with normal.

Never!

I have mixed emotions. I'm not sure how black would look on a finish like that one, but the chrome is just kind of vanilla so... i didn't help.  :)

The finish above is darker than what I plan, mine will be a fair bit brighter. Think ES-335 red.

I think I'd do the black. Barring that, gold. Chrome/Nickel is just too pedestrian.

Seriously, black looks smart, but I dunno, a Bigsby in anything but chrome just looks wierd.
