Sorry--no 'in progress' pics; I had all the components on hand at once, and built it rather than taking pics...Lacewood on mahogany, white binding
Ebony on mahogany, white binding, 6150 frets, Gotoh tuners
                  Gotoh 6-saddle modern-style bridge
                  Q parts acrylic-insert knobs
Duncan vintage P-90's neck & middle, Little '59 bridge

That's a fine piece of blooz-machine you got there, Monsieur Ape.  Lovely choices.

That's just pure class Great Ape!  :eek:ccasion14:
I like the pickup combination idea, too. Please tell us about how it sounds in reality!  :guitarplayer2:

Well, it sounds just as good in reality as it did in my fantasies! I can't say that there's anything 'classic Tele' about the sound, not with that pickup combo, but it's a hot guitar. P90's have been my favorite for a long time--they're big and fat, and when backed off a bit, have more of a single- coil sound to them. The '59 in the bridge is just a nice full-spectrum humbucker, with perhaps a bit more top end than a standard hmbkr...and of course the mahogany body & neck fills things out some as well. Another all around Warmoth beauty! (Not too hard on the eyes, either!)

Holy cow that guitar rack in the background looks like my surfboard rack at my house. About 12 of them! I can already feel me wanting to build another. Gonna have to get a guitar rack to match my boards! Was looking at tele bodies last night! Very nice guitar! She is a beaut!!  :icon_thumright:

Just exactly what I'd hoped you'd say! I feel a little GAS coming on! Great Build!!!  :icon_thumright:
