I received my order this Friday. It was a custom order placed 6 weeks ago.

Black Korina body
Wenge neck
Pau Ferro fretboard

I'm going to do a clear oil finish on the body. DiMarzio Crunch Lab & Liquifire pickups, 5-way switch 1V 2T. All black hardware, sperzel locking tuners.

The wood came out beautiful (I did not use unique choice). This is my first experience with Warmoth and I'm really happy with how the neck feels so far. I'm going to leave it raw.

And now for the pics:

Interesting. Nice choices. Can't wait to see this one develop.

Tell us about the fret markers. I do not see those listed and on the W site they say no custom inlays on baritones or 7 strings.

Thanks! Yes those are the standard inlays for the 7 strings. The only options online are those or none. I didn't ask if they would do anything else because I like how unique these are.

I'll post in the "work in progress" as soon as I start working on it. I live in a studio and I don't have the space to finish it here so I'm taking the body to a luthier to finish the body. I'm also having him drill the neck holes because he was cheaper than W for that. (W doesn't drill neck holes as a standard option on the 7 strings for some reason).

Also I don't think this is well known, but Warmoth can rout for direct-mount 7 string humbuckers. It's not online but I called and they said yes. No charge!

Thanks guys. I was hesitant to buy it sight unseen, and never having played a Warmoth. Plus there are never 7 strings in the showcase so I had to do a custom order. But I'm really happy with how the wood looks, and the access to the 24th fret is a lot better than I expected.

I also can't wait to get the body finished. Until it is finished it's staying in the box because I don't want to get dirty fingerprints on the raw wood  :laughing7:

I have moved the remainder of this build to the 'a work in progress' forum, so if anyone wants to see my progress you can go here:

Thanks!
