Koa Thinline Bass Progress

OK, finally some pics of the completed bass. In the meantime I've had a chance of running it through my amp and it sounds really nice. Lots of dynamics and a good growl when playing at high levels on the E string.

Very unique, and the overall vibe definitely has impact.  Love the natural wood and the f-hole.

Very very nice!  I like how the grain by the pup looks like a pair of angry eyebrows  :toothy12:

Personally I don't like at all how the grain between the pup and the bridge looks like the wrinkles in a totally different part of my anatomy...

Howdy,

A beauty of a bass!Love the tele thinline/koa thing! The black hardware really pops the wood grain!I'd be interested in building something similar,(maybe korina/koa top?),but in a short scale and Warmoth curiously, doesn't offer a shorty ,bass neck? :icon_scratch:

No, no shorter scale nor others back contours than the '62 J.Bass...

Welcome to the forum, Ghost...
