Yep, all nitro.  I used Reranch Shoreline Gold, and Seagrave's nitro lacquer from StewMac for the clear coats. Seagrave's is, apparently, the same recipe as the old Lawrence McFadden stuff, and it's excellent.  I definitely prefer it over the Reranch clear, and it's way more cost effective.  I sprayed the clear through a Preval kit you can get for 5 or 6 bucks at home depot:

Okay, so I've had this thing for a few weeks now.  REALLY liking it.  Sounds way better than I ever imagined it would, sustain is great, and I ended up being happy with the SRV neck profile.  I often play with my thumb wrapped around (much like Stevie did), and so it really makes sense to have the treble side of the neck back skinnier.  The chunkier bass-side gives my thumb enough material to grab onto, but then my other fingers can get around to the fretboard a little easier.  Once I got used to it, I loved it.

Anyway, some folks requested a clip of it in action.  Here is a link to a video of me playing a Dave Matthews song with it at church the other day.  There are two guitarists, I'm the one playing the short power chords in the verses, the other guy is doing the single-note funk thing.  And then at 3:45, we trade some licks.

Exactly. And considering how most religions take a Puritanical approach to sex, I doubt you'd find the services terribly entertaining from a carnal perspective.
